Originally from Washington D.C., Scott grew up an army brat traveling the globe and experiencing various cultures and cuisines. After earning his undergraduate degree at Towson University, and his graduate degree at Louisiana State University, Scott began his professional career as an acting teacher as well as onstage, performing Shakespeare and modern classics across the country.

Like many actors, Scott supplemented his income by working in the restaurant industry. After moving to New York, the “side job” became his ultimate passion. He discovered his love for fine dining at Tom Colicchio’s Colicchio and Sons before transferring to the highly esteemed Eleven Madison Park. EMP became his hospitality training ground, and over the course of four years, he learned firsthand the nobility of warm service under the likes of restaurateur Will Guidara, Chef Daniel Humm, and Master Sommelier Dustin Wilson.

Scott was part of the opening sommelier team with La Sirena in February 2016. In March of 2017, Scott assumed the role of Wine Director. He is honored to be a part of the Batali and Bastianich Group’s first new restaurant in 10 years! His love for Italian and Spanish wine is on display nightly in the beautiful new space and he looks forward to greeting each table with a warm welcome and a glass (or bottle) of vino.
